Elucidos has a policy of pro-active reduction in environmentally wasteful/damaging practices. We believe it is important to take an active role in conserving the planet through recycling, reduction in energy use, sustainable forms of transport and the encouragement of ethical and sustainable practices.

We host all new websites on servers using 100% green electricity (electricity generated from renewable sources - solar, wind, geothermal, low-impact hydropower, biomass and fuel cells*). Our websites are generally hosted on shared hosting environments where resources can be fairly and efficiently shared between sites, without compromising performance.

We reduce our transport to the minimum necessary, operating from home offices where possible, reducing polution from commuting. When travelling is necessary we use public transport or travel in our ultra-low carbon vehicles (Toyota IQ) which generate only 99g of CO2/km, one of the lowest emissions in existence for a fossil fuel combustion vehicle.

We operate a paperless office, avoiding printing hard copies of documents unless necessary for legal reasons and we choose low energy-consumption equipment wherever the choice is available.
